Garnier micellar water – which one is the best?
Today’s post, as you could already conclude by the title, is a battle between Garnier micellar waters. I tried and tested all four of Garnier’s micellar waters and I bring to you all my verdict. Keep on reading if you want to know which one works and which one doesn’t.
PureActive micellar water – this micellar water purifies, mattifies and cleanses your face and it also removes makeup. Although, all micellar water should remove makeup, my recommendation is to always use an extra cleanser to really deeply clean the skin. This micellar water is recommended for combination to oily, sensitive skin. I didn’t have any trouble with this micellar water, it was pretty good and it really did everything I listed above. The price for this micellar water is 39,99 hrk or around 6 usd.
“Green” micellar water – this micellar water removes makeup and purifies the skin without the need to rinse off. Although, this micellar water is recommended for taking off face and eye makeup, my experience is that it irritates the eyes too much. I usually don’t have sensitive eyes, but my eyes in contact with this micellar water were burning and started to tear up. That is the reason why I didn’t repeat this purchase. The price for this micellar water is 39,99 hrk or around 6 usd.
“Pink” micellar water – this micellar water removes makeup, cleanses and soothes the skin without the need to rinse off, but based on my experience you really do need to rinse it off. This micellar water does not irritates the skin, but the problem I had was that it does not take off the makeup, but it smudges the makeup all around the face. Using this, you really need to take of your makeup again, since this micellar water won’t do that for you. The price for this micellar water is 39,99 hrk or around 6 usd.
Biphase micellar water – this micellar water removes longwear makeup, it cleanses and soothes the face without the need to rinse off. It doesn’t leave a greasy finish and it is suitable for every skin type including the sensitive one. This micellar water containes oil and water, and before using it you have to shake it. Personally, I don’t really like using oils on my face, especially on my eyes because my eyes tend to get very irritated when using oils, but this was recommended by all croatian bloggers so I tried it. My personal opinion is that this micellar water is a little bit too greasy for my taste and it still irritates my eyes. Other than that, this micellar water is pretty good for taking off your makeup. The price for this micellar water is 42,99 hrk or around 7 usd.
My final verdict is that every micellar water has it’s advantages and disadvantages, but I was most happy with the original PureActive version. Nether of this micellar waters are enough for taking off the whole makeup, but this PureActive one was the only one I hadn’t had troubles with.
Do any of you use some of this micellar water? What are your experiences? Write us down in the comments.
